What motivates you?

Getting your butt off the couch can definitely be a challenge, especially for hard-working, busy ladies like us. I want to know what (or who) motivates you to get off that couch and get fit! Please let me know here! You may your see comments in our upcoming issue of Off The Couch.

  1. This wonderful feeling of knowing I did something for myself, to get active, motivates me. I don't lose weight but bringing my programs from Oxygen makes me less intimidated in the "big gym" and it's fun. I love going to the gym. I do it for myself.
Also...everyone thinks I'm either insane, courageous or a saint for going 3 times a week and walking. Hehe. Oh and proving to my mom that it's something that lasts ? Priceless. I have been going every week for years and she still asks if I'm still going. :)

  2. I'm a kindergarten teacher. If I don't have the energy to keep up with my kiddos, I'm in a lot of trouble. Sometimes I have to take out my "teacher voice" on myself to get myself going to the gym or even to make it through a tough workout. But at the end, I earn a sticker on my calendar. (Yes, really.) At the end of a hard week or a busy month, seeing all those stickers smiling and sparkling back at me makes me proud. Looking toned and sexy in the mirror really helps, too. I know how easily that can be lost!
